Lou Ann Brubaker is the President of Brubaker Seminars, a company she founded in 1988 to exclusively serve senior care. Since then she has taught thousands of senior care professionals--from executive leaders and mid-level managers to front-line staff. Her unique knowledge base has established her reputation as one of America's leading senior care training providers.
A diverse professional expertise enables her to address today's most critical skill development needs, including daily management of staff, creation of higher performance teams, handling of conflict, dynamics of change within senior care, census development and strategic planning at the Board level.
Prior to her own company, she was Director of two in-house advertising agencies--turning both into revenue generating enterprises for the parent organizations. Lou Ann was Vice President of Sales overseeing 35 satellite operations and more than 500 sales professionals. She also directed the North American promotion of more than 130 databases for the world's largest provider of clinical, scientific and technical information.
Lou Ann was Chair of the Board of Trustees of The Beacon Institute, the largest senior care educational foundation in the Mid-Atlantic region. She also served as a Trustee upon the Board of the national non-profit BPW Foundation (charitable subsidiary of Business and Professional Women/USA), and as a member of the Board of Directors of Women Rising, Inc., (Baltimore, MD), an Welfare-to-work program organization. As part of her personal commitment to the improvement of life quality for all seniors, she is also working with Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity to expand their global oral health initiative through the dissemination of a free educational DVD to senior care providers and expansion of its global volunteer efforts.
Lou Ann Brubaker is a
graduate of Kent State University, majoring in public policy and political science.
